Criteria:

  1. Age / Career Stage
  • Usually below 35–40 years (age cutoff varies)
  • Or within 5–10 years of completing PhD/MD/MS (career-age based)

2. Research Output

  • First-author or corresponding-author papers are often weighted higher

3. Research Quality & Originality

  • Clear research contribution to the field
  • Alignment with current or emerging research priorities

4. Grants & Funding (if applicable)

  • Competitive research grants or fellowships
  • Role as Principal Investigator or Co-PI strengthens application

5. Awards & Recognition

  • Previous academic awards, fellowships, or honors
  • Invitations to speak at conferences or seminars

6. Conference Participation

  • Oral or poster presentations at national/international conferences
